A Deaf Cat photo shoot

(Self wishes it would just be a plain old shoot)

*Ahem* But on some days, Spy Cat is so most beautiful.  And so most silly!

Also, Sidekick has fish tanks now.  Clarissa loves for to watch the fish.  A Siamese Fighting fish and a bunch of female guppies.

But more than she loves to watch the fish, she loves to be crazy with toys.

Though Penny is gone, a Puppy comes back

As all the people know, was once a time when there was many an infestation in the house.  Was lucky, that come a few months, all the infestations grew into puppies and found new homes.

Most unfortunate, that 2 weeks after Penny went, was a call received from owners of Onyx.  Was family changes, said they, and would not have time for him.  Was a most devastating decision.  So back he came!

Oh, boy.  Self was nervous at first.  When last saw Onyx, was the most annoying puppy!  But soon, self saw, that in 7 months, he changed a lot.

He was fun to hike with

He went to the Farmers Market and sat most nice and calm

He could play at park and with all the doggy friends

He was calm... except for when he was crazy!

Yes, self decided to have all the fun with Onyx.  Plenty of wrestle and chase and tug.  Sidekick say, he have the most best personality.  Snuggly, confident, able to interact with all the people and all the dogs.  Possibly service dog material.  Definitely family material and could go to home with all the people.

Was just starting to get so most used to Onyx in the house.  He so most better than Penny, for Onyx would play all the day.

But then, good news!  Old family thought about it.  Was still having bad family issues but, sad to miss Onyx.  Sat down, and thought and thought and thought, and wanted to adopt back!  Will keep forever.

During this time, also went to visit a few of the other infestations.  Here is Topaz, now Ianto (like Sidekick owns a bird named Ianto!)

And here is Onyx, playing with Opal (now Tess!)

A new home for Penny-Bean

As all the people know, there has been a Squatter in house of self for many a time.  Always was she spending time raising infestations, and cuddling with Sidekick, and coming for walks with.  Was so most ready for she to get out of the house.

Was many a places to try to find a home for Penny.  But was difficult, for Penny is a pitbull.  She so most nice pitbull, like most are.  But still, people who would have been great homes for her were frightened by her looks.

Luckily, along came a family who did not care!  Now Penny has 3 boy 2-legged puppies with to play, and many many space of land to run in, and a cat to ignore.  And a hat to wear for always.

Congratulations, Miss Penny!  Please to be writing... but never coming back!

Edit 8/14/13: A few more pictures from her last day with pack!

She shows off her silly ears

 She snuggles

 She makes funny faces

She has a nose... but I think all the people already knew this.

Sidekick Note:  Still trying to catch up on the important happenings.  Penny has been happy in her home for about a month now!

Self was right to be nervous.

What has Sidekick done?!  And why?!  Was so nice for to have a mostly empty house.  Only with self and Penny, and Penny and self mostly can just get along.  But then, Sidekick had to add these!

A little black labrablur

Penny was excited for to have babies again.  She played and played and played.

And they tried to nurse which was cute but sad

And then there were three.  Little Russell was found all by his lonesome and only 5 weeks of old.  Other pups were six weeks of old, so the thought was, what is one more!  Little Russell can have some brothers.  And brothers they became.

Clean, shavings-filled pen!  So most best for ease of cleaning.

 Hallo?

And then there were 6... for labrabundles had siblings, of which were in another foster home.  The cats, they were not fans of the puppies.  Self is neither fans of the puppies, so self does not see why puppies had to come.  But so they did.

Was soon enough, that the labrapups and Russell were old enough for their neuter!  So off they toddled.  But what to do with so most puppies?  Small town and small shelter would have a hard time finding homes in a nice, speedy manner.

A decision was made!  All the puppies were for to go to Colorado to find brand new homes!  And off they went.  Good bye puppies, and good riddance!

Sidekick Note: We had these puppies for the first two and a half weeks in July.  It was so busy, there was no time for an update!  Now, we finally have internet at our house so Vertigo and I are hoping to try and continue with more regular updates... and there are many updates around here to be had!  Regardless, no matter how little we post we never intend to go fully off the grid... we might just have less frequent posts occasionally.
